The Academic Staff Union of Universities is set to embark on a one week warning strike action beginning on Wednesday 16th to 22th November 2016.
For the avoidance of doubt the 7 days asuu strike is to compel the federal government of Nigeria to address the following issues:
- Funding for revatilisation of private universities
- Renegotiation of 2009 contract
- Exception of universities from TSA treasury single account
- Registration of NUPEMCO
- Non payment of salary of staff in staff school among others
The strike is total and comprehensive which means no teaching, no examination and no attendance at statutory meeting.
