CLEMENT WORLDWIDE YOUTH EXPAT SCHOLARSHIP 2017


Clement Worldwide is pleased to announce its 9th Expat youth scholarship(EYS). Exclusively designed for students aged 13 to 21 experiencing life abroad amidst unfamiliar cultures.The EYS contest is a testament to Clement's ongoing commitment to the international expatriate community. Clements will award $10,000 in scholarship funds to the winners.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS


  •  Students aged 13 to 21 who have resided in a foreign country for at least 6 months.
  • To qualify for ages "13-16" category, you must be aged between 13-16(born between 2001 and 2004). To qualify for ages "17-21" category, you must be aged between 17-21(born between 1996 and 2000)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • For this year's scholarship, we are asking students to take a photo visually capturing how you will use your experience abroad to make a difference in the world, and write an accompanying short essay.
  • To participate and stand a chance at winning the contest, eligible candidates should complete the form to submit your entry.
  • Once you enter, your photo will be reviewed.

NLNG Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship 2017/2018

Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) invites applications from qualified candidates for the Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme for entry into Masters' degree program in the following UK Universities:

  •  University of Aberdeen
  •  University of Cranfield
  •  University of Leeds
  •  University of Strathclyde
  •  University of Liverpool.

The scheme was launched in October 2012 and is being managed by the British Council. The first 10 beneficiaries and second 13 beneficiaries left to the United Kingdom for their studies in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
The scholarship is valued at between $60,000 and $69,000, depending on the course, and is tenable for programmes in top academic institutions in the UK. Courses covered by this scheme include Environmental Studies, Engineering, Management, Accountancy, Economics, Information Technology, Geology, Banking, Law and Medicine.

           Eligibility


  • Applicants must be a Nigerian.

  •  Applicants must have completed their bachelors degree program in any recognized Institution with a minimum of 2nd Class Upper degree in a relevant field of study.

  •  Applicants must have a provisional admission from select UK institutions to study any of the following disciplines: Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law, Medicine.

  •  Applicants should not be than 30 years of age.

  •  Applicants must have completed their NYSC program.

  •  Applicants should be able to obtain a tier-4 visa upon being successful.

  •  Applicants must possess an international passport valid for travel at least one year from September 2017.

2017 JAMB UTME Examination Postponed - The Joint Admission and Registration Board has finally agreed to postponed the 2017 JAMB UTME Examination and registration.

This was announced by the Jamb Registrar during a press conference in Abuja.

The Closing Date for JAMB Registration has been extended from April 9th to May 5th, 2017.

The 2017 JAMB UTME Examination will now start from May 13 to May 20, 2017 instead of April 19th.

MTN PLEDGES MORE SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION

MTN Nigeria has assured of its unwavering support to the country’s education sector through well-meaning initiatives.

According to MTN Nigeria’s Chief Operating Officer, Mohammad Zia Siddiqui, who led senior management of the company on a courtesy visit to the University of Port Harcourt recently, education remains the bedrock for sustainable growth and development for any nation.

Siddiqui who was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ndowa Lale and other top management staff explained that the visit would afford the company the opportunity to interact with stakeholders of the university and seek out opportunities where MTN can provide support to the students and the university at large.
“As a responsible corporate entity, we are always actively seeking out ways to contribute our quota to the task of nation building and we have identified education as a key area for us to do that. This university has become a breeding ground for future leaders of this country and that is why we are excited to be here,” Siddiqui stated.

He also noted that apart from the MTN Foundation’s Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme that has students from UNIPORT as beneficiaries, MTN will continue to make the lives of the students better and brighter through its innovative products and services.

In his remarks, Professor Lale, while receiving the delegation, expressed gratitude to the ICT company for the visit. Lale called on other corporate bodies to emulate MTN in supporting educational institutions. He praised the company for helping indigent students actualise their academic aspirations through scholarships via MTN Foundation’s platform and other activities.
Also present with MTN’s Nigeria’s chief operating officer were other senior executives from the company including the customer relations executive, Ugonwa Nwoye; general manager, customer experience, Andrew Esemezie and others.

After the visit to the VC, the MTN team had a robust youth focus forum with the students. The engagement ended with an exciting performance from the University’s alumnus and Project Fame 9 winner, Okeimute, after which several gifts were presented to students.
